Jeffrey K. Newman represents a wide range of clients in regard to construction matter including developers, owners, contractors, sub-contractors, suppliers, engineers, architects, design professionals, and homeowners, and has significant experience litigating many types of construction disputes including complex construction disputes, defect and delay cases, contract negotiations/disputes, lien claims, bid protests, insurance coverage claims, and consumer fraud claims.

Jeff has appeared before the federal and state courts of New Jersey and Pennsylvania, participated in numerous mediations and arbitrations, and has presented multiple lectures on topics such as the New Jersey Lien Law, New Jersey Consumer Fraud Act, and contractor payment rights, obligations and remedies.

In addition to his experience in the construction industry, Mr. Newman also has experience representing clients in commercial litigation matters and maritime matters.  As a result of his efforts, Jeff has been named a 2010, 2011 and 2012 Rising Star by New Jersey Super Lawyers.

Prior to graduating law school in 2003, Jeff attended the U.S. Coast Guard Academy and earned a Bachelor of Science in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering.  Following graduation from the Coast Guard Academy, Jeff served as an officer on the U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Vigorous home ported out of Cape May, NJ from 1995 to 1997 and then, from 1997 to 2002, he was a staff engineer at the U.S. Coast Guard Marine Safety Center in Washington, DC.  At the Marine Safety Center Jeff conducted highly technical engineering and design analyses of U.S. commercial ships and offshore platforms and worked closely with designers, owners and industry representatives to ensure compliance with international treaties, U.S. laws and regulations and industry standards.

Mr. Newman is licensed to practice law in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
