Regulatory Affairs

As part of our regulatory law practice, Bisgaier Hoff regularly interacts with any number of New Jersey’s regulatory agencies including the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection, the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities and the New Jersey Council on Affordable Housing (COAH).
Based on our experience, we combine substantive legal analysis with a strong understanding of the legislative and regulatory process that is specific to New Jersey.
In a state that has become a very difficult place to do business, Bisgaier Hoff walks clients through the administrative and regulatory processes in Trenton, while swiftly sidestepping legal pitfalls.
Our services include:
Monitoring relevant legislation and drafting comments on behalf of clients
Representing clients before state, county and regional entities
Negotiating with government officials
Interpreting legislation related to land use, including affordable housing requirements
Structuring, organizing, and implementing public/private partnerships, including brownfield redevelopment
Counseling the client’s real estate team, including lobbyists and public relations professionals, on compliance with federal, state, and local real estate laws.
